How to learn VMware by self study,What are configuration required for Laptop or Desktop to practice VMware lab at home.



Before learning VMware, Configure your Laptop or Desktop with below requirements.


Basic configurations required for your laptop or desktop while practice VMware lab at home, Once you configured your laptop with basic components you can practice VMware lap at home or collage etc...

Laptop and Desktop Configurations.


1. Random access memory(RAM):- Minimum 8 to 14GB.





Required minimum 8  to 14 GB of RAM, Per one ESX server required minimum 4 GB of ram, if you are installed two ESX serves 8 GB, And vCenter server also required 4 GB RAM, For physical machine 2 GB (Laptop or Desktop).   

2. Processor:- Minimum 2 to 2.66GHz.



3. Hard Disk:-Minimum 500GB to 1TB.




4. Operating system(OS):- 64bit.



Once you done above configurations make sure on you laptop or desktop to enable the virtualization on your system BIOS level. 




If you not enabled virtualization on you computer it will shows Error After creating Virtual machine (while power on the VM).
